 Anonymous writes "I have been working closely with President Travis to not only find ways to attract new members but also help inform and educate the membership on the problems our national organization is working through.
As most of you know our membership dues do not cover the cost of printing and distributing your NNN, and there are other expenses that need to be covered. In past years fund raisers like NAPH’er of the year and other things that chapters did supported National. Well, the past 5 or 6 years more money is being spent than is coming in. As you all know, we can not keep spending more than we have in income for very long before we are broke.
Some of the temporary measures that are being implemented starting with this issue of your NNN are as follows: one issue of the NNN this year has been eliminated, the size has been reduced, and only one NNN will be mailed per address. Additional copies can be purchased at cost presently $2.00 per copy, plus postage of about
$1.00.
There has been a fund raising campaign started and we are seeking some funding through grants.
So far two chapters have pledged a percentage of there fund raising proceeds to national. Akron Derbytown 15% and Huntington Beach 10%. I hope you will all pull together and help to assure the future of NAPH.
